Whether you're preparing for a Hyrox race, developing your functional fitness, or just generally looking to get stronger and fitter, your training is fully personalised and continually adapted to ensure you train with intent and perform at your best.
Led by Lewis & Jo, the coaching team brings over 15 years of experience as RAF Physical Training Instructors and 30+ years of combined experience in Functional Fitness and Strength & Conditioning.
Together, they have worked with over 200 athletes who have progressed from first-time competitors to podium-level performers, as well as supporting individuals who simply want to train smarter, improve their fitness, and push their performance further.

This is coaching, not generic programming.
Structure
Your training is built around a clear, progressive plan designed to move you towards your goals. Each phase of training has purpose, ensuring the right balance of strength, conditioning, and recovery so you can continue improving without burning out.
Accountability
Consistency is where real progress happens. Regular check-ins, feedback, and communication ensure you stay on track, stay motivated, and continue moving forward even when life or training becomes challenging.
Expert Coaching
If you're committing time and energy in the pursuit of a goal, make sure you're not wasting your time with the training you're doing. We meticulously programme for each individual we work with, specifically to their goals, training age and life. This means it is a case of when the goal will be achieved, not if.
Personalised Support
No matter what your home/work life balance looks like, your training will be planned accordingly. We appreciate that life throws curveballs, so although individuals are programmed on a week-by-week basis, adjustments can be made through the week if needed to suit any last minute changes.
Nutrition Support
For athletes who want to optimise their performance further, additional nutritional guidance is available to help support training, recovery, and overall performance.

Whether you're new to functional fitness or chasing a podium finish, the fundamentals remain the same: expert coaching, consistent execution, and training tailored to you as an athlete.
We work with:
Individuals new to functional fitness looking to build a strong foundation
Functional fitness athletes developing strength, engine, and overall performance
HYROX competitors preparing for their first race or aiming to improve their results
Runners training for events from 5K through to ultra-marathon
Military personnel balancing training around demanding operational schedules
Athletes navigating injury recovery who need structured guidance returning to training

Many online coaching services sell access to a training plan. It may look personalised, but in reality it’s often a pre-built programme with small adjustments.
That’s not how we work.
When we work together, you’re not just following a template. Your training evolves week by week to reflect how you're actually performing, recovering, and balancing training alongside the rest of your life.
Every adjustment is made with your long-term progress in mind.
Your programme is continually shaped by:
Performance feedback
Fatigue and recovery
Training goals and race/competition timelines
Work, family, and life demands
Your strengths, limitations, and long-term development
You'll complete a short intake form covering training history, goals, racing plans, and lifestyle demands.
Your information is reviewed in detail before we speak, so the call is focused and productive.
You'll receive your personalised training through a dedicated coaching app, with clear expectations and communication.
Your training is reviewed and adjusted week to week, constantly adapting based on feedback and performance.
This is the same decision-making process I've used as a Physical Training Instructor in the RAF, working with thousands of individuals across a wide range of abilities and roles. No two athletes follow the same path. This keeps the process efficient, clear, and focused on results.
I'm Lewis, an online fitness coach specialising in functional fitness and Hyrox preparation. I’ve worked with over 200 athletes through personalised coaching, including:
Complete beginners entering the functional fitness or Hyrox space
Experienced athletes aiming to elevate their performance with structured, purposeful training
Runners preparing for events ranging from 5km to ultramarathons
Individuals focused on improving their overall fitness, building strength, and developing a physique they’re proud of
Regardless of experience level, every athlete receives the same level of attention: thoughtful programming, ongoing feedback, and coaching that adapts as performance, recovery, and life demands change.

About Lewis
The experience I’ve gained through both my online coaching and my career in the RAF has given me the knowledge and perspective to programme effectively for a wide range of athletes. My aim is always the same: to help you progress towards your goals with training that is purposeful, enjoyable, and something you learn from every day.
As an athlete, I have competed in Hyrox for the past three years, achieving three World Championship qualifications and multiple podium finishes across the Solo Open, Pro, and Pro Doubles divisions. This experience gives me a clear, first-hand understanding of what it takes to perform at a high level. I have also achieved first-place finishes at the National Fitness Games Pro Men’s division and the NATO Functional Fitness Team Competition.
Alongside my coaching, I serve as a Physical Training Instructor in the RAF. In this role, I’ve worked with thousands of personnel to develop the physical fitness required for the demands of military life, as well as the mental robustness needed to perform under pressure. I am also qualified as an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor, supporting hundreds of individuals through structured programmes to return from injury to full operational capacity.

“I've been training with Lewis for over 2 years now and I have never been so consistent and motivated since I started the gym 10 years ago! He tailors everything to me and my goals, is flexible when my goals change and actually makes it feel like he is personally invested in my journey! Even the smallest achievements are celebrated. He's always just a text away if I have any questions, and I couldn't recommend him more! I'm the healthiest and happiest I've ever been and my training has so much to do with it!”
— Emily
“I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Lewis! He is easy to reach, asks and listens to feedback. The sessions programmed are always fun, I'm happy with the results I see week after week, and I feel that they are tailored specifically to my goals.”
— Nicole
“Lewis has coached me for almost 2 years and has completely changed what I believe I'm capable of. From Hyrox to marathons to ultras — 601 days later he's still checking in daily to make sure I'm on track. He genuinely cares holds you accountable and gets results. Worth his weight in gold. Thank you, Lewis”
— Olivia
“I've worked with Lewis on and off for over a year and he's been brilliant at creating clear, effective structures to get me race-day ready for HYROX. After returning from travelling, he got me perfectly primed for my Singles HYROX race in Birmingham. His plans are detailed, varied (gym + running), and he always gives great feedback while making himself available for support and goal setting. I'd highly recommend Lewis to anyone wanting to be properly prepared for HYROX race day!”
— Ben
“I've worked with Lewis for over 2 years to achieve a mix of fitness goals including Hyrox, Half Marathon, and Strength. Lewis has consistently created perfectly tailored fitness plans, taking my injury history, work/life balance, and gym kit into account, while always being on hand for any additional support, guidance, and advice I've needed. If you've got any type of hybrid fitness goal, I'd recommend Lewis as the coach to help you smash them!”
— James
“I've only been coached by Lewis for 5 months so far but the impact he's had has already been massive. He's completely transformed my running and more recently guided me step by step through my first Hyrox, giving me the confidence and structure I needed to push beyond what I thought I could do. His coaching, support, communication and belief in my ability have made a huge difference, and I couldn't have asked for a better PT for this journey. I am excited to see what 2026 brings”
— Soph
“I started working with Lewis in May '25 having had years of calf injuries which had affected my confidence hugely with all elements of exercise including running, which forced me to pull out of countless comps. His exceptional listening skills and keen attention to detail truly set him apart. From our very first conversation, it was clear that he genuinely cares about his clients and their individual goals. Lewis is incredibly empathetic and understanding, always taking the time to address my concerns and tailor our training sessions to my specific needs. As a family man himself he understands the challenges that come with that big responsibility. Thanks to his expertise and support, I was able to get back into great Hyrox shape and back running to a level I hadn't reached in years. The culmination of our hard work was a 1:03 finish at the London Excel Hyrox in the mixed doubles (40-44) — an accomplishment I couldn't have achieved without Lewis's guidance. I highly recommend Lewis to anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey! Great coach and a great human.”
— Rich
“I've been coached by Lewis for three years and he's constantly pushed me further than I thought possible. Even with just six weeks to prepare for a half marathon, his training was structured, progressive, and challenging, and it gave me complete confidence going into race day. I wouldn't be where I am physically or mentally without his coaching.”
— Connor
“I've been with Lewis for a little over 6 months. I have always trained regularly but never felt that there was much structure to what I was doing and kept having set backs and little injuries. As a busy mum of two training had started to become a chore and I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. Lewis has provided me not only a structured training program but the consistency and confidence in myself again. I've seen huge improvements in my running, competed in multiple Hyrox events gaining PBs, my strength has increased and my body composition has improved so much that I now feel comfortable wearing things again that I haven't for years. Thank you for making me believe I am so much more capable than I thought!”
